Around The World Cultural Food Festival at Oronoco Bay Park, on the Potomac River, downtown Old Town Alexandria, is organized, delivered, and financed by the community in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Every year we start from zero and try to raise money through donations from both individuals and businesses, like you. It is a big undertaking, however it is money well spent.

While the Festival is Admission Free, we kindly ask you to consider a suggested donation of $10 per family to support the event.

For less than a single movie ticket you can take your whole family for a day trip around the world in your own back yard. The festival is PRIVATELY FUNDED by the International Cultural and Educational Development Fund, a small non-profit 501c(3) organization with no commercial or government funding. The organization presents and educates the public on cultural diversity, arts and history preservation in hopes that it will be passed on and maintained from generation to generation. Money raised from donations will be used entirely to cover the costs for producing such a large scale event in downtown DC and be able to continue to spread cultural awareness through this festival in the future.

Every penny raised serves the purpose and helps us promote and educate people about the culture and traditions of different countries from around the world, build and strengthen friendships between communities in the area, and contribute to DC’s cultural, ethnic and religious diversity.
